45 jaar From the Lions Mouth!

45 jaar geleden (1981) verscheen From the Lions Mouth, het iconische 2de studio album van The Sound.

Echoes of The Sound speelt het ganse album live  met extra nummers zoals Jeopardy, Heartland, Where the love is  e.a. Let’s keep the music of The Sound and Adrian alive!

45 Years of From the Lions Mouth!

Forty-five years ago (1981), From the Lions Mouth, the iconic second studio album by The Sound, was released.

With Hugh Jones as co-producer—an engineer known for his work with Simple Minds, The Teardrop Explodes, and Echo & The Bunnymen—the album became a masterpiece that seemed destined to make the band a major success. Things turned out differently. It is a story of great expectations, dreams, disappointments, and wonderfully beautiful music.

Like their debut album Jeopardy, From the Lions Mouth was showered with praise by the music press, yet commercially it fell short of expectations. At the time, approximately 100,000 copies were sold. The band once again made little impact in their home country, England. However, their popularity was growing in the Netherlands, and they were also beginning to gain significant traction in Germany.

The album cover artwork was taken from Daniel in the Lion’s Den, a painting by Briton Rivière from 1872.

Echoes of The Sound will perform the entire album live, along with additional songs such as Jeopardy, Heartland, Where the Love Is, and others. We hope to see you at one of our concerts!

Let’s keep the music of The Sound and Adrian alive!
